2009
Editor's Note: I didn't take a lot of pictures this year. Thanks again to Jeff Sweet for some of his great photos which are also included below. |
Merry Christmas!
Bogie's cousin Carolyn captured him in his holiday scarf at his Aunt Susie's on Christmas day.

Door County - July
We probably had the best week ever this year in Door County. The weather was perfect every day - sunny and warm. It was the perfect week for walking along the beach and spending times with friends.
At our famous "beach stop" on the way north, Bogie and BFF, Wrigley, get to play with old pals of theirs. In addition to neighbors Trevor and Daniel, friends from Seattle, Taner and Alex, joined us on this trip. Bogie was very pleased to have the whole gang back in one place again. (See previous picture from 2007.) |
|
The water was wonderfully warm this year (comparatively speaking) and Bogie got to do a lot of swim time with his "mommy". Wrigley joins us in the picture below.

No trip to the lake would be complete with out the world class struggles over domination of the flying squirrel or toss ring.

About a mile north from our cabin along the beach is a creek. The water is clear and cool. Wrigley and Bogie join Alex as he wades across the creek. On the right, Bogie and Wrigley run in to the beach after taking another dip in the lake.

One of the best parts of going to Door County is the opportunity to run along the beach OFF-LEASH! Bogie and Wrigley love the freedom to go exploring and just act like real dogs. The picture below is on the north side of the creek. On the right, the two dogs are coming in to the beach with the ring toss.

On the right, Bogie is enjoying some more off-leash freedom by nosing around in the tall grass. Below, after a fun-filled day on the beach, some R&R time is definitely on the agenda.

The pool is open!
We had some early warm weather and the dogs were panting a little. It was a perfect opportunity to open the pool for the season. Bogie gets real excited when we tell him we're getting his pool ready. He is more than willing to sit in it while the pool fills up.
